Mark Schultz Bikes Across America

Please consider supporting my friend, Mark Schultz, as he bikes across America to raise money for the James Fund, a ministry that supports widows and orphans (see the video on the upper left hand corner). He plans to bike across America from CA to NY starting May 6 thru early July. You can track his progress as he is going to wear a GPS system as he bikes! www.markacrossamerica.org/

Go Mark! You have my prayers and support!

Hello Amanda, I found your blog by searching the blogs for "friend of Mark Schultz".

He is one of my favorite artists as well. I've seen him about seven times within the last five years. The most recent time was last friday night (20th) at a church here in Lakeland, Florida. He was with "Big Daddy Weave" on the "Broken and Beautiful Tour".

Looks like you got to meet him a couple times! I was able to get a photo taken with him five years ago, just as he was beginning to get "BIG" in the Christian music scene.

Cool blog you have here!

Nice to meet ya, Chad! Yeah, I've met Mark many times. He recognizes me when I see him. It's pretty cool. I got to hang out a bunch w/ him when he did the Father/Daughter Banquet for WCSG this past February (big Christian radio station in my area that I do lots of volunteer work for). I worked the banquet, and had a lot of one on one time w/ him and got to know him better. He's definitely my favorite artist. I made it to the Broken and Beautiful tour as well, but his concert back in August was way better. He sang for about an hour and half to two hours straight. Longest concert of his that I've ever been to. It was awesome. In fact, he posted 2 of my pics from that concert on his website - number 14 and 16 in the live shots section of his pics. I was honored when I saw them there.

He's real thru 'n' thru for sure!

That's cool that you actually have gotten to "know" him a little and that he knows you...he wouldn't remember me if I got to meet him again...but it's still like seeing an old friend everytime I see one of his concerts. You really are a "friend of Mark Schultz" ;)

I'll probably check out his concert at "Night of Joy" at Disney this year.

There's about three good modern Christian stations where I live, one is the "Joyfm", they won a "Dove Award" a few years ago for "station of the year"!

Anyway, you should come over to my blog and check out my photography since you're a photographer as well!

My friends at WCSG came back from GMA on Wednesday and I worked all day Thursday w/ them and heard all their experiences. They said that Mark was great! He hosted the Echo Awards (for the radio stations) and was awesome. Very humorous as well. It was so cool to hear them talk about Mark and how his career is really taking off. One said that Mark should host the Doves. That'd be awesome!

Yeah, I think he'd probably be a funny host ;)

I would love to attend the "Doves" someday. A lot of the times, my favorites don't win, but sometimes.

...They should show them on live tv, even if it's cable. I think it's sad that you never know when they will be telecasted as a "prerecorded" show.
