Something Beautiful (Newsboys)
I wanna start it over
I wanna start again
There's a new beginning
One without an end
I feel it inside
Calling out to me
I've heard it in the silence
Seen it on a face
I've felt it in a long hour
Like a sweet embrace
I know this is true
It's calling out to me
It's a voice that whispers my name
It's a kiss without any shame
Something beautiful
Like a song that stirs in my head
Singing love will take us where
Something's beautiful
It's the child on her wedding day
It's the daddy that gives her away
Something Beautiful
When we laugh so hard we cry
Oh the love between you and I
Something beautiful
This song is currently playing in the background as it continues to inspire as I write this. This is the latest single released to radio from the Newsboys. It is currently my favorite song. The lines are so strong and reach deep into my heart and soul.
There are 2 distinct lines that especially speak to me from this song.
The first: It's the child on her wedding day. It's the daddy that gives her away. Something beautiful.
I look forward to the day when my daddy gives me away
On my wedding day, a date that persists to be unknown,
To my future husband, a man who's face persists to be blurred.
I continue to wait on God
To fully reveal this face to me.
Sometimes I think I know his face. Other times I'm not so sure.
The face of the man who stands at the end of the aisle
Persists to be blurred.
The second line: It's a kiss without any shame. Something beautiful.
I believe this line should follow the previous one (and not precede it).
Why do I think that? A kiss without any shame is one that is holy and pure. Set apart solely for my future husband.
My first kiss will be
After we exchange our vows
After we say,
I do.
My first kiss will be
Without any shame.
No baggage. No past.
It will be
holy.
It will be
pure.
It will be
Something Beautiful.

I pray that the LORD will do it all - for you and him.
My prayer is that the LORD will do it ALL - for you and the man at the end of the aisle.
Thank you, Amanda, for having the words to 'Kiss without any shame' on your webpage! I had forgotten the name of the song, and couldn't find it. Thank you for re-uniting me!
